We work with children from underserved communities across India — using Ultimate Frisbee to cultivate communication, teamwork, gender equality, and the Spirit of the Game. Skills rooted deep. Skills for life.
Y-Ultimate is a data-driven NGO operating at the intersection of sport, education, and social impact. Since 2015, our structured life-skills curriculum — The Playbook — has been embedded into schools and community organisations across India, using Ultimate Frisbee as the vehicle for transformation.
Every metric is tracked, reported, and published in our annual reports. We believe accountability is as important as impact.
We equip coaches with a structured life-skills pedagogy — transforming them from sport instructors into mentors who model values, facilitate reflection, and track growth.
We partner with schools and NGOs to embed our programme directly — reaching children in the spaces they already inhabit, removing every barrier to access.
Every session follows a structured arc: warm-up, drill, game, and facilitated reflection. The disc is the hook. The lesson is the root.
We track outcomes rigorously — attendance, skills progress, qualitative change — and publish findings publicly. Evidence drives every decision to expand.
Unfiltered words from the educators, coordinators, and partners who see the change happen daily.
"In our experience with Ultimate Frisbee, we have seen it to be a great leveller where girls and boys play together on the same platform at equal footing. The focus on collaboration, communication and respect shows in how we've seen our students transform."
"With Frisbee coming in, I saw children doing better with team activities, taking initiative to solve problems on their own before bringing them to the teachers."
"It is a rare and very good sport that covers life lessons with genuine intentions."
"Engaging with Ultimate can go a long way to build mindsets for Peace and Equity in children growing up in conflict-affected areas. Ultimate is revolutionising the role of sport in a child's education."
"All the coaches would always demonstrate the values they talked about — gender equality, perseverance, and most importantly, Spirit of the Game. The kids learnt by observing them."
